The Undercard
Willow defeated Magnus and Bram
Willow gets taken down and beaten up for most of the match. Bram looks really good in the ring, a powerful and scrappy opponent Willow finally gets on the offensive with a neckbreaker. Willow hits his offense onto Bram and connects with Whisper in the Wind. Willow gets a rollup onto Magnus for the win.
I really do not get the fact that Willow beats TWO guys. Bram is a new face to the company and should NEVER lose in a handicap match. It will never make Willow look weak, but it does for the newcomer. Bram tries to get Maguns to cheat, but he doesn't want to? He is a heel, plain and simple. He has cheated for months.
Score: 6/10
Gail Kim defeted Velvet Sky
The Beautiful People target Gail Kim. Kim and Sky work a solid 5 minute bout. Say what you want about the wrestling ability of Sky or Love, but they make the division much more interesting. They are good characters and personalities in a division that lacks real characters.
Score: 5/10
Kazarian defeated Crazy Steve
What the hell was this? The music played throughout the entire match. Crazy Steve does not do much besides be a joke. What is the point of this match? I have no idea what to say or how to respond. It seemed like an absolute mess and Crazy Steve missed a body splash onto balloons. Yes, you read that right.
Score: 1/10
James Storm defeated Ken Anderson
This was a pretty solid back and forth match for television. Both men got early advantages. Anderson slams the head of Storm in the barricade. When they get back into the ring, Storm works on Anderson's arm and throws him into the ring post. Storm heads to the outside and grabs a bottle of beer. He gets in the ring and tries to use it. The referee is distracted and he spits it in his face. Storm hits Last Call for the win.
I fully expect this feud to continue. Anderson is a really solid face, while Storm is a guy that the fans love to hate. He continues to build upon this new attitude. I was concerned that he was not going to make a great transition, but he is thriving with whoever is paired with him.
