WrestleMania XXX is just a few days away, and the final card is set in stone, barring the final four entries into the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The Undertaker puts his streak on the line against the "Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan fights WWE COO Triple H for a spot in the main event, Randy Orton defends the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and more. But today we're going to look at the TOP TEN matches you won't see at WrestleMania this year. We're not talking about impossible fantasy matches (e.g. Hulk Hogan vs. Steve Austin), but rather ones that WWE could have booked in the past several months, but chose not to.
#10 – Brodus Clay vs. "Sweet T" Tensai
You remember that halfway decent undercard program between Brodus Clay, Sweet T and Xavier Woods at the end of 2013? Yeah, it really wasn't that bad. It brought up a new NXT star in Woods, gave R-Truth something to do, transitioned Brodus Clay into a dominant heel (like he should have been two years ago), and got the fans interested in a possible feud between the former partners. And then…nothing happened.
Maybe something happened. Did they have a PPV pre-show match? A match on Raw or Smackdown? The fact that I don't remember is proof enough that WWE didn't do enough with any of them. Xavier Woods doesn't matter. R-Truth doesn't matter. Brodus Clay isn't even on television. And where is Sweet T? He doesn't exist, replaced by NXT color commentator Jason Albert. So that whole program worked out pretty well, eh?
Brodus Clay and Tensai could have made for an OK pre-show match, or a filler spot on the main card. I genuinely like both of them, despite WWE booking their best to make me not care, and could have invested a modicum of interest in their match.
