The Undercard
The Shield defeated Daniel Bryan. Sheamus and Christian to kick off Smackdown. I really enjoyed this match because there were so many layers to it. The action really picked up when Daniel Bryan came in and cleaned house. He hit kick after kick onto Reigns and Ambrose until he was powerbombed by Reigns. Sheamus was ready to set up a Brogue Kick, but hit Christian on accident. Reigns would spear Sheamus and Ambrose made the cover for his team.
Sheamus needs to be a heel right now. In the WWE, there are few main event caliber heels. Aside from The Shield and The Wyatt Family, the other other consistent heel is Randy Orton. WWE needs an everyday heel and Sheamus fits that bill. His best work was whenever he first came into the WWE and was a tough Irishman who did not really speak much. Simplify Sheamus and make him a heel.

Jack Swagger becomes the new number one contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Swagger defeated Rey Mysterio, Mark Henry and Kofi Kingston. This was an excellent Fatal Four Way match because all of the men involved brings something different to the table. The best spots of the match were when Swagger hit a double German suplex onto Mysterio and Kingston, as well as Mark Henry crushing Mysterio with a huge boot. As the match continued, Kingston hit Trouble in Paradise onto Mysterio, while Henry was taken to the outside. Kingston came into the ring and was the victim of the Patriot Lock. He would tap and Swagger would become the new contender to Big E. Out of all the opponents, this was the right choice. I can see the match between the two really being a slug fest with two big athletes, emphasis on athletes. I want more of a longer and dramatic feud for Big E, but this is the perfect match for him in less than a week. Swagger isn't the best guy to carry a feud, so he has Zeb to help him in quick time.

Darren Young defeated Damien Sandow in a squash match. What the hell happened to Damien Sandow? He goes from having a great match from Cena to being squashed by Young. The feud with Young and O'Neil is fresh and would feel more important if they were actually tag team champions one time. Titus has a great look and his personality will be more and more a point of emphasis. Where does he fit right now, though?

The Miz defeated Fandango when Santino and Emma interrupted the match. Fandango chases Santino on the outside and gets hit with a Skull Crushing Finale for the loss. This is another way that Miz can go back to being a heel and being credible. His arrogance needs to be combined with Ziggler's cockiness. That would be a tag team I could pay to see. They are very similar, with different looks and abilities in the ring. For Santino, just go away. Keep Emma, but lose him. The comedy schtick with him has not been interesting to me for a few years. No offense to him, but his 5 minutes of fame (which lasted 3 years more than I thought) is over.
