WWE RAW Review: Hits And Misses For March 10

Welcome or welcome back to our weekly WWE RAW hits and misses series where we recap all the good and bad from the show.

Miss – Jey Uso vs. Grayson Waller on RAW

Did Triple H completely forgot about the Waller-Theory split storyline? They had a huge opportunity to cause a split or, at the very least, fuel A Town Down Under’s impending parting of ways. Instead, we got Theory jumping on Jey after his win. Jey retaliated before Gunther applied a sleeper out of nowhere. Let’s see if the Ring General stays true to his words and “mercy kill the Jey Uso experiment” at WrestleMania.

Hit – Logan Paul is a heat magnet

All the negative fan reaction to Logan Paul feels legitimate. What makes Paul a great heel is his ability to not give two f**ks about the crowd. He can talk over them unlike most heels in the business. Paul telling The Rock his soul is for sale was hilarious considering how their real-life relationship is these days. That said, this writer still isn’t sold on the Logan Paul versus AJ Styles feud for WrestleMania.

Miss – Celebrity appearances on WWE RAW

All these damn celebrities take away from the actual product. WWE is red hot but this writer doesn’t like the idea of having a rundown of celebrities. We got the Andrew Schulz segment with Logan Paul that felt like an excuse for AJ Styles to come out and make the save. That’s funny because Styles was the one who said he’d call out Logan Paul on WWE RAW.

Hit – Tornado tag team match

Good tag team action between LWO and New Day. Rey Mysterio is unreal between the ropes. Dragon Lee looked like he previously got lost in the shuffle. This writer expects better writing from the creative when it comes to Lee’s booking. He can’t stay in Rey’s shadow forever. Chad Gable’s lucha cameo was arguably the best part about the match.

Miss – Cody Rhodes’ promo on WWE RAW

Apart from the ‘Cena isn’t winning the 17th’ line, this was pretty much a rehash of what Cody said last week on SmackDown. The WWE RAW crowd in MSG booed Cena but that could be because the superstar wasn’t live on the show. Let’s see if the negative reception continues the next week when both Cena and Rhodes appear under the same roof.

Hit – The OTC returns to take out Rollins and Punk

Roman Reigns returned during what was a really good main event steel cage match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Fans on the internet didn’t enjoy the false finishes. I thought they did a good job of showcasing Punk and Rollins’ willingness to fight no matter the brutality they endured. Roman’s return was the cherry on top. The triple threat is definitely happening. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Reigns use a curb stomp. The angle with Heyman and Punk was brilliantly executed as well.
