AEW Revolution comes to you live on from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles this Sunday (March 9). This will be the first AEW pay-per-view to stream on Amazon Prime for fans across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Here’s what’s on tap for All Elite Wrestling’s upcoming PPV event.
- “Big Boom!” A.J. and The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy and Mark Briscoe) (with Big Justice) vs. Johnny TV and MxM Collection (Mansoor and Mason Madden) – Trios Match on Zero Hour
MJF vs. “Hangman” Adam Page at AEW Revolution
After teasing MJF versus Hangman Page for weeks, AEW announced the two men would face each other for the first time in singles action since 2019 at Revolution. The feud has seen MJF turn Page’s mentor Christopher Daniels into a bloody mess before trying to set Page on fire live on Dynamite. This feud has the potential to turn into a longtime rivalry. Assuming that’s what Tony Khan (and the fans) want, MJF beats Page this Sunday with some cheap tactic.

Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher – Steel Cage
The heated feud between Ospreay and Fletcher comes to an end this Sunday at AEW Revolution. Kyle costed Ospreay the International Championship in a fantastic three-way dance at WrestleDream 2024. He’d defeat his mentor and former tag team partner at Full Gear before Ospreay tied the score at Worlds End. Ospreay can’t afford to lose this feud ender. As for Fletcher, he’ll only thrive after what could be a potential Match of the Year contender on March 9.
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Brody King – AEW Continental Championship
Okada’s Continental Championship run has been nothing short of illustrious with successful defenses against the likes of Takeshita, Ishii and Strickland. His next opponent is a former AEW World Trios Tag Team Champion in Brody King. The big man has been on a role since splitting from Malakai Black. That said, this writer doesn’t expect Okada to drop the belt to Brody because that’s the only possible outcome to set up Okada versus Omega for All In.
Konosuke Takeshita (c) (with Don Callis) vs. Kenny Omega – AEW International Championship at AEW Revolution
Speaking of Omega, The Cleaner will look to claim the International Championship against reigning champion Takeshita at Revolution. Both men have previously collided in multi-man outings with Omega and Ospreay defeating Takeshita and Fletcher at AEW Grand Slam Australia. Takeshita has proven himself as a worthy champion but that’s where it ends.
The Hurt Syndicate vs. The Outrunners – AEW World Tag Team Championship
The Outrunners earned a shot at the tag team titles last week on AEW Dynamite. Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd’s rise to the title picture have been nothing short of spectacular. That said, this would most likely be another Sunday for Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. The duo have already squashed Private Party and The Gunns en route to AEW Revolution.
Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Momo Watanabe – AEW TBS Championship
Mercedes Mone’s title run has been entertaining to watch thus far. This writer isn’t a fan of her character or mic skills, but she’s had some incredible TBS title defenses. This Sunday won’t be any different against STARDOM’s very capable Momo Watanabe. As for the outcome, Mone retains before we eventually get to a face-off with Athena.
“Timeless” Toni Storm (c) vs. Mariah May – Women’s World Title Falls Count Anywhere Match at AEW Revolution
Mariah May banished Toni Storm from AEW by beating her for the women’s world title at Wembley. Storm would return in the lead-up to Grand Slam before regaining the title in Australia. May displayed her increasingly obnoxious attitude in the lead-up to Revolution during the sit-down interview on Dynamite. The Falls Count stipulation must be making her nervous. This writer has no doubt about the outcome, but this is going to be violent.
Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet – No. 1 contender’s match for the AEW World Title
Swerve really has a knack for bringing the dark side of his opponents. First Adam Page and now Ricochet. It took a pile of toilet paper to flip Ricochet’s switch. Ricochet picked up a controversial win on Dynamite #279 before pinning Swerve once again this past Wednesday. Strickland needs the win because he’s fighting to earn a shot at the world title and get back Prince Nana’s robe. But something tells me Nana is going to cost Swerve at AEW Revolution.
Jon Moxley (c) vs. Cope – World Title Match at AEW Revolution
Cope eliminated Death Riders except for Wheeler Yuta on the road to Revolution. That’s enough to predict he isn’t winning against Mox this Sunday. However, Jay White has promised to have Cope’s back if any of the Death Riders decides to show up during the match. My money’s still on Mox to retain the title against the Rated R Superstar, assuming Yuta shows up. However, ideally, Cope would beat Mox just for Christian Cage to show up and cash-in his contract.
WrestleZone will have full coverage of AEW Revolution as it airs.
