It’s almost time for WWE SmackDown!
Tonight’s episode was taped at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska on 7/19. We will get to the spoiler results but first, check out our preview of Friday Night SmackDown.
LA Knight vs. Santos Escobar
LA Knight and Santos Escobar have been going on and off for months. Both men were part of the 2023 Money in the Bank ladder match. Neither managed to win the briefcase. That said, Knight has already got a couple of wins over Escobar.
They had a verbal confrontation last week WWE SmackDown. WWE announced the Megastar will collide with the Emperor of Lucha Libre just one week before SummerSlam 2024.
Bayley & Michin vs. Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton
Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton formed an unlikely alliance in the lead-up to Money in the Bank 2024. Both women would help each other in singles action on Friday Night SmackDown. However, their attempt to subdue Bayley failed when Michin made her return to take on the 2024 Queen of the Ring Tournament winner.
The Role Model returned the favor by helping Michin win her match against Stratton on 7/19 WWE SmackDown. Bayley took care of Jax before destroying Stratton’s Money in the Bank briefcase in front of her very eyes. The distraction allowed Michin to pick up the win. Tonight, the former Mia Yim teams up with Bayley to take on Stratton and Jax.
Tag team gauntlet match on WWE SmackDown
Six teams test their mettle tonight to earn a shot at the WWE Tag Team Champions, DIY. It will be the Street Profits versus The Bloodline versus Legado del Fantasma versus Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin versus Pretty Deadly versus The O.C.
