It’s almost time for WWE NXT!
WWE returns to the Performance Center for the go-home edition of NXT for Heatwave. Tonight’s episode featured a stacked card. We’ve got ourselves a street fight as well as multiple tag team matches coming up.
Here’s what’s on tap for 7/2 NXT.
Carlee Bright vs. Wendy Choo
Wendy Choo brought back her twisted persona on 6/11 NXT. The superstar had an uncomfortable exchange with Carlee Bright before costing her the match against Fallon Henley the following week. Can Carlee take down this seemingly sadistic Wendy or will the latter continue to move forward on her darker path?
Gallus vs. Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe on WWE NXT
Gallus have caused nothing but havoc since returning to NXT two months ago. While Joe Coffey has focused on singles action, Mark and Wolfgang are hellbent on reclaiming their spot at the top of NXT’s tag team division. Tonight, the two-third of Gallus Boys take on a rising tag team in Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe.
New Catch Republic vs. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger
Tyler Pete and Pete Dunne put on a tag team clinic last week on WWE NXT. However, the pair lost the tag team gauntlet match to Chase U. Bate and Dunne had a little exchange with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger following their loss. The two teams collide in multi-man action tonight.
Roxanne Perez and Lola Vice face-off
Roxanne Perez and Lola Vice have been feuding with each other for the past couple of weeks. Both women teamed up in a multi-women match two weeks ago on WWE NXT. Miss Vice would take out the champion with a backhand the following week. Tonight, the two meet for the final time before their women’s title match at NXT Heatwave.
Michin vs. Jaida Parker in a Street Fight
Jaida Parker and Michin have cost each other big matches on multiple occasions. Neither woman was able to win the NXT Women’s North American Championship at Battleground. Parker would cost Michin her title opportunity against Kelani Jordan. Their feud even dragged OTM and OC into the mix. Tonight, they settle the score in a Street Fight.
WWE NXT Championship match contract signing
Trick Williams is surrounded by wolves. The NXT Champion has been targeted constantly since winning the title from Ilja Dragunov months ago. After beating Ethan Page at NXT Battleground, Trick came across a new challenger in Je’Von Evans on 6/18 WWE NXT.
However, Ethan Page staked his claim to the title by beating the number one contender later that night. Shawn Spears would also proclaim himself the number one contender by beating the champion himself the following week – prompting General Manager Ava to book a fatal four-way for NXT Heatwave.
Tonight, all four men make it official.
