It’s almost time for WWE RAW. This week’s episode of the red brand emanates from Greenville’s Bon Secours Wellness Arena in South Carolina. Men and Women’s World Champions Damian Priest and Becky Lynch among others are scheduled to appear.
Matchmaker Adam Pearce has confirmed four matches at the time of the writing. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at what’s in store for the May 13, 2024, episode of WWE RAW.
Zoey Stark vs. Lyra Valkyria – Queen of the Ring quarterfinals on WWE RAW
Zoey Stark beat Ivy Nile in their QOTR first-round match-up last week on WWE RAW. Lyra Valkyria, meanwhile, defeated Dakota Kai to advance to the next round. Dakota had subbed for an injured Asuka in the ongoing Queen of the Ring tournament.
Stark will take on Valkyria in their QOTR quarterfinals tonight on RAW. Can Zoey Stark move one step closer to the coveted title, or will Lyra put away the veteran in her quest to become WWE’s new Queen of the Ring?
IYO SKY vs. Shayna Baszler – Queen of the Ring quarterfinals
IYO SKY had a really good QOTR first-round match with Natalya. The Genius of the Sky faces the Queen of Spades this week on the red brand. Baszler had defeated Maxxine Dupri (Zelina Vega’s replacement) in their first-round match at a recent WWE live event.
Baszler and Vega both were part of the first-ever Queen of the Ring tournament in 2021. The former two-time NXT Women’s Champion was eliminated by Doudrop in the semi-finals. Doudrop would eventually lose to Vega in the finals.
Gunther vs. Kofi Kingston – King of the Ring quarterfinals
Gunther defeated Sheamus in a banger of a match last week on WWE RAW. The Ring General is set to face a familiar face in Kofi Kingston. Kingston moved to the quarterfinals following his win over Rey Mysterio at a WWE live event.
The upcoming edition of WWE RAW will see a battle between the two former rivals as Gunther takes on Kofi Kingston. Who will make it to the semi-finals? We’ll find out this week on the red brand.
Ilja Dragunov vs. Jey Uso – King of the Ring qurterfinals
Ilja Dragunov secured a hard-fought win over Ricochet in their King of the Ring first-round match-up on WWE RAW. Jey Uso, on the other hand, advanced to the next round by beating The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor.
It was originally supposed to be McIntyre vs. Balor, but the injury bug bit Balor. Tonight, it will be the Mad Dragon vs. the Yeeter of Worlds. Can Ilja move one step closer to his inevitable match with Gunther, or will Jey slay the Mad Dragon?
Becky Lynch in action on WWE RAW
Becky Lynch has had a target on her back ever since she won the Women’s World Championship. The Man was outnumbered against Damage CTRL a couple of days ago on WWE RAW until Lyra Valkyria showed up to make the save for her former rival.
Becky Lynch versus a member of Damage CTRL seems to be the plan for RAW this week. Who will Becky’s opponent be just days before The Man steps into the ring with Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Title at WWE King and Queen of the Ring?
