NXT Stand & Deliver Predictions

The 2024 edition of NXT Stand & Deliver goes down live in Philadelphia this Saturday. The PLE will emanate from the Wells Fargo Center at a special start time of 12:00 p.m. WWE has confirmed six matches for the main show, with Joe Gacy versus Shawn Spears set for the pre-show.

Shawn Michaels has, undoubtedly, booked a stacked card for NXT’s biggest show of the year. Stand & Deliver will see several high-profile matches. All four of the brand’s championships will be on the line as well.

Without further ado, let’s dive into predictions for the six main show matches for NXT Stand & Deliver in Philadelphia.

Thea Hail, Fallon Henley & Kelani Jordan vs. Jacy Jayne, Kiana James & Izzi Dame (with Jazmyn Nyx) – Six-woman tag team match at NXT Stand & Deliver

Six women with common goals will collide in tag team action this Saturday. This feud was originally between Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne. However, it spiraled all the way to include the other four competitors. Thea will be looking to prove Jacy wrong just weeks after the former Toxic Attraction star showed her true colors.

The feud between Fallon Henley and Kiana James is far from over as well. The former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions haven’t seen eye to eye since the Brooks Jensen incident. I believe Izzi Dame will be a major player in this match. The former volleyball player’s size and strength advantage has the potential to influence the match’s outcome.

The trump card, however, could be Jazmyn Nyx. We saw Thea Hail ‘broke’ her arm two weeks ago on NXT. I have a feeling Jazmyn might use her arm cast to give Jacy Jayne, Kiana James, and Izzi Dame the win this Saturday.

Prediction: Jacy Jayne, Kiana James, and Izzi Dame def. Thea Hail, Fallon Henley, and Kelani Jordan

The WolfDogs (Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin) vs. Axiom & Nathan Frazer – NXT Tag Team Championship match

Pairing Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin was a brilliant booking decision. Many fans were expecting Breakker to move to the main roster following his loss to Carmelo Hayes on the October 10, 2023 episode of NXT. He and Corbin would win the Dusty Tag Team Classic and defeat Chase U for the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Their NXT Stand & Deliver opponents, Axiom and Nathan Frazer, would earn a shot at the titles this past Tuesday on NXT. Axiom and Frazer are among the best tag teams on the White and Gold brand. They had some of the best matches against each other on NXT in 2022. A tag team title win for them has long been overdue.

Prediction: Axiom & Nathan Frazer become new NXT Tag Team Champions

Oba Femi (c) vs. Josh Briggs vs. Dijak – NXT North American Championship match

I’ve high expectations from this match-up. All three men have showcased their skills in the lead-up to the battle. You have a mountain of a man in Oba Femi. He’s held the title for merely 80+ days but, in the process, has demonstrated his dominance.

Next up is the man who’s been endorsed by WWE Hall of Famer JBL himself. Josh Briggs showed a lot of promise during the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. He’s truly starting to embrace himself as a singles star following a successful run as a tag team specialist.

Finally, we have a man who’s built a reputation for delivering classic after classic. Dijak has solidified himself as NXT’s Mr. PLE. He never fails to deliver every time he’s in the ring. NXT Stand & Deliver could be his moment. That being said, Shawn Michaels has the perfect opportunity to cement Oba Femi as perhaps the most dominant NXT North American Champion with a win.

Prediction: Oba Femi retains his NXT North American Championship

Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Roxanne Perez – NXT Women’s Championship match

We saw a babyface Roxanne Perez win her first NXT Women’s Championship on December 13, 2022. However, she never really got the opportunity to showcase her reign in the way she wanted. Now, we have a heel Roxanne looking to reclaim the title she never lost.

Lyra Valkyria has thus far done an admirable job as the NXT Women’s Champion. She was a solid pick to beat Becky Lynch for the title. That being said, Roxanne’s current trajectory could make for an interesting title run should she beat Lyra this Saturday.

Prediction: Roxanne Perez def. Lyra Valkyria to win the title

Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo – NXT Championship match

Tony D’ Angelo is one of those gimmicks, I believe, that does not need a title win for validation. The character itself is compelling enough to carry a storyline. Tony does a terrific job of playing this mob boss or the self-proclaimed Don of NXT. The character has everything. He’s the respect of his peers and the material possessions that come with being the Don.

His opponent, on the other hand, is a different beast altogether. Ilja is a unique performer in the sense that he’s willing to take punishment to deliver it. His ability to bring out the best in himself as well as his opponent is what makes him a true standout in NXT. Other than Triple H wanting him on the main roster to dethrone Gunther, I see no reason why Ilja cannot retain his title at NXT Stand & Deliver.

Prediction: Ilja Dragunov def. Tony D’Angelo to retain

Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams will main event NXT Stand & Deliver

The “biggest match in the history of NXT” will see Carmelo Hayes take on Trick Williams this Saturday. The entire lead-up to the match has been nothing but brilliant. From the backstage attack to the accusations to the final betrayal, Melo versus Trick has kept NXT fans glued throughout its entirety.

Williams is, without a doubt, the most over star on the NXT roster today. His rise has been nothing but organic. I think it was the angle with John Cena that planted the seeds for what we are about to witness this Saturday. If Trick versus Ilja made the former a better wrestler then Trick versus Melo will turn the 2023 NXT Iron Survivor into a bigger superstar.

Prediction: Trick Williams goes over Carmelo Hayes
