The WWE 24/7 Championship has been anything but well received. Sure, the title may not look great, but apart from that slight hiccup, it’s surprising that there’s such an overwhelmingly negative response to it. For one, it’s very clear that the title is somewhat low on the pecking order (perhaps the lowest of all the titles). It’s a title that’s clearly meant to be fought over by midcard superstars, both lower and upper.
The unpredictability element, comedic element and the fact that it gives screen-time to other superstars is actually something that makes it more beneficiary. All the superstars being wasted away at catering finally have something to fight over and a reason to be on-screen. While the championship won’t exactly rank up in terms of “prestige”, it’s good that it’ll give opportunities to stars who may normally never get it.
