#3.) Buddy Murphy

If you’re familiar with the backstage story behind Buddy Murphy joining 205 Live, it’s almost impossible not to root for him. He had a brief run as NXT Tag Team Champion, but after that, his run in the yellow brand became quickly irrelevant and so did his tag team with Wesley Blake.

According to Murphy himself, he wanted in on 205 Live since it started, and he faced multiple rejections from WWE officials to join the brand. It was this rejection that drove him and motivated him to exercise hard and diet even harder. He would then reveal an absolutely incredible physique, and the timing was all right when he was called up to join the 205 Live roster in the Cruiserweight title tournament of 2018.

Even though he didn’t win it, it was a great start for him, and six months after WrestleMania, he found himself challenging Cedric Alexander for the Cruiserweight title at Super Show-Down in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia. It turned out to be an instant classic, and Murphy would have his moment in front of 70,000 people.

Today, he stands strong as one of 205 Live‘s best stars.
