#2.) Simpler storytelling
Storytelling is the most vital instrument in pro wrestling, and WWE is all about telling stories. The good thing that SmackDown has as compared to RAW is that the stories are direct and far simpler for fans to understand. There’s a clear line in most situations, and that alone gives it an advantage over RAW.
WWE needs to remember that casual audiences are also a large part of their viewership, and simpler, direct storytelling will help keep this fanbase in-tune with the product. The hardcore fans are going to stick around anyway, so it’s important to give casual fans an incentive to watch the blue brand – via simple storytelling.
