The Revival calls themselves the “Top Guys”. Atleast, they did in NXT. It’s true that their NXT run was very different from the main roster, but the upside of it all is that there’s still time yet. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are still relatively young with years ahead in their WWE career.
They represent an old-school tag team in the day of modern evolved teams. That doesn’t mean that The Revival is behind by any means. It just means that they blend in the old school psychology and add it in their arsenal to compete with the new teams. The evolution of tag team wrestling (or just wrestling in general) has seen the in-ring style turn into a more fast-paced, high-flying one.
The Revival famously uses the slogan “No flips, just fists”. Their old school influence has led them to become one of the best tag teams in the world, even if they’re not portrayed as such on the main roster. Their body of work in NXT is perhaps the best of any tag team, and we look at their best matches on the yellow brand.
