Baron Corbin got called up to the main roster in 2016 and it’s absolutely incredible to think of how far he’s come since. Even if you really look back at the era of NXT when he left, it was very different from what it is now. Practically all the featured superstars of the time in NXT are now on the main roster and an entirely new crop of talent is part of the yellow brand, continuing the legacy of greatness in a path taken by superstars such as Baron Corbin.
He may have suffered from a lot of start-stop pushes on the main roster, but one thing Corbin has successfully managed to do is always stay relevant and always have television time. Both on SmackDown Live and RAW, he’s always been prominently featured. Even in NXT, he was groomed and built up as a big star but never really went into NXT title contention.
Not that he wasn’t on that level, but it’s entirely possible that Triple H knew he would be called up any time and didn’t want to invest time in an NXT title program or even title run. With that said, he’s been on the main roster for a while now and his NXT days seem long past him. He’s had some great moments on RAW and SmackDown Live. Let’s take a look at them.
