Axe Massacre Reveals Mount Rushmore Of Wrestling Mullets, Inspiration Behind Her Own

Axe Massacre knows good hair when she sees it.

Intertwined with Axe Massacre’s punkish character comes her signature bed of hair, styled in the form of a mullet. During a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Massacre revealed her Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling mullets (and adjacent styles), all of which captivated fans in the 1980s and 90s.

Ultimate Warrior, he had a good one,” Massacre said. “I’m not sure if I’m remembering this correctly, but I’m pretty sure Kevin Nash had a mullet. I don’t know if they’re classified as mullets because it was just kind of the hair at the time, Sherri [Martel], she had great hair. Again, I don’t know if it classifies as a mullet, but my most favorite hair is Luna Vachon because she’s my favorite wrestler of all time. She’s kind of where I get the baseline for my character and my look from, so Luna Vachon, Sherri, Kevin Nash, Ultimate Warrior.”

When WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero was suggested as another potential option, Massacre indicated agreeance, and as such, replaced Nash with Guerrero on her Mount Rushmore.

Massacre’s Own Mullet Takes Inspiration From A Famous Popstar

In its current state, Massacre’s own mullet is mostly platinum blonde, with black underlights. According to the Australian star, this look stems from the inspiration she took from popstar Christina Aguilera.

“I was inspired by Christina Aguilera in her ‘Dirrty’ era,” Massacre said. “Originally, I wanted to have the black chunky highlights, but with a mullet, it doesn’t really work as well. I’ve obviously got only half a head of hair, so I just did the under[lights]. I’ve had the black under my hair before and I really liked that, but I never had it this length, so I just did that. I had red streaks in there for a while too, but they faded out and I got it changed over.”
