Eugenie recounts her experiences during WWE Elimination Chamber weekend in 2024.
In February 2024, WWE returned to Australia to host the Elimination Chamber premium live event from Optus Stadium in Perth. Elsewhere in the city, EPW School of Wrestling held a training camp with talents from all across the country taking part, including current OPW Women’s Tag Team Champion Eugenie.
In the same week, Eugenie attended EPW Perth’s Australian Supershow, where she came across then-WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.
“She’s so lovely. It was just so easy going,” Eugenie told WrestleZone’s Ella Jay while recalling her post-show encounter with Ripley. “At the time I don’t know if I was walking out of that [Willetton Stadium], but we just crossed paths at the same time. As a person, you’re knowing that hey people want to take a photo, you’re like oh, do you bother her or not? Then I just was like ‘Okay I’m just going to try.’ And then I said ‘Hello’ and she was lovely to talk to and so friendly…very down to earth.”
Eugenie Calls Elimination Chamber An ‘Inspiring Experience’
Along with Ripley, fellow WWE star Grayson Waller attended EPW Perth’s Australian Supershow on February 23, 2024. While Ripley hails from Adelaide, Waller emanates from Syndey, New South Wales, Australia.
Both Waller and Ripley then appeared at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 24, with the latter successfully defending the WWE Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax. Waller hosted the Grayson Waller Effect with Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes as his guests. Meanwhile, Eugenie sat amongst the crowd, amazed.
“[Elimination Chamber] was such an inspiring experience to be a part of, to see what we’re doing on such a large scale,” Eugenie said. “We already see it on TV and watch it, but just to be in it and to feel the presence and the energy of the stadium and just to see how great the wrestlers are, I think it was really just a big [moment]. Took a lot back with me when I came home from it.”
