Drew McIntyre is officially back, and ready to send a message to anyone.
During Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, McIntyre returned for the first time since his Steel Cage Match loss to Damian Priest at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May. He appeared during a segment between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.
As Rhodes and Orton reflected on their respect for each other, McIntyre had seen enough. He mocked the respect that the pair had, and then tried getting them to turn on each other. When they wouldn’t, McIntyre then got into it with Orton, and promptly received an RKO for his troubles.
Later in the night, McIntyre approached Nick Aldis backstage. He demanded a match against Orton at next week’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, and got it. The two will now go at it on July 12, 2025.
