WWE Superstar Teases Match After Steve Austin Return Report Surfaces

Stone Cold Steve Austin might not be done with WWE just yet, and one superstar has already stepped up to challenge him.

In 2022, Austin stunned the wrestling world by coming out of retirement after 19 years. He took on Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 38 in his home state of Texas. Since then, fans have speculated about whether “The Texas Rattlesnake” has one more match in him.

That speculation gained momentum over the weekend when Fightful Select reported that WWE once pitched a match between Austin and Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 39. Sources also told Fightful that Austin “intimated” he may not be finished in the ring. In fact, he reportedly told people close to him that he might have “one more” match left.

Reacting to the news, Bronson Reed took to Twitter/X and teased a potential showdown with the Hall of Famer, writing, “Stone Cold Steve TSUNAMI!!!”

While Bronson Reed has made it clear he wants a match with The Texas Rattlesnake, fans are buzzing over a bigger possibility, with the reports suggesting that Stone Cold has told those close to him he might have one more match left in him.

For years, fans have dreamed of a showdown between Stone Cold and CM Punk. Now, with Punk back in WWE and Austin reportedly open to returning, the long-awaited dream match suddenly feels more possible.

As of now, WWE and Stone Cold haven’t confirmed any plans for another in-ring appearance. However, the report has reignited excitement around a potential return.
