According to The Floor Seat, referee Marty Elias has parted ways with the Lucha Underground. Marty had been with the promotion since its beginning in 2014, but recently asked for his release and was granted so. Marty has a career spanning decades but is perhaps best known as the referee for the legendary Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels showdown at WrestleMania 25. No word at this time what Marty’s next move will be, but an experienced referee is always a sought-after commodity in pro wrestling.
