The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting Colt Cabana is suing CM Punk over legal fees related to their recent court case against WWE doctor Chris Amann.
According to documents filed in Cook County Circuit Court, Cabana (real name Scott Colton) is suing Punk (Phillip Jack Brooks) for breach of contract and fraud. Cabana contends Punk originally promised to help him with unpaid legal bills related to the Amann lawsuit that totaled $513,736, citing a text from Punk that said Cabana would be ‘100% covered’. According to Cabana, Punk asked him to pay half of that, which comes out to $256,868, and told Cabana he was ‘on his own.’

Cabana is asking for $200,000 in general damages and $1 million in punitive and exemplary damages, according to the lawsuit. Cabana’s filing claims Punk “acted with fraud, malice and oppression” toward him, with the “deliberate intention of causing harm.” Punk and Cabana won the lawsuit filed against them by Amann in June.
