Exclusive: Eddie Edwards Talks About Slammiversary, Tommy Dreamer, His Wife Alisha, Sami Callihan, More

Robert: I completely agree. You’re following a long tradition of guys who transition from great tag teams to being major singles competitors like Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. What makes you a better singles competitor than a tag team guy?

Eddie: I wouldn’t necessarily say that that’s true. Part of the magic with the Wolves is that Davey and I can split apart and still do amazing things in this business and then come together and dominate as a tag team.

Robert: Is that to say there’s a Wolves reunion in the cards?

Eddie: Never say never.

Robert: How is everything going with your wife? I know she’s been a big part of the build-up to this match with Tommy Dreamer. How is everything with her?

Eddie: She’s great. She’s very excited to be a part of Impact Wrestling going forward.

Robert: Okay, a couple of more questions here. If you had to explain to somebody who’s never watched an episode of impact wrestling but have baby heard some of the rumors and things from years past, why is July 2018 the best time to start watching Impact Wrestling?

Eddie: Why not start with Slammiversary? This card, like every episode of Impact, will have a little bit of everything. If you like high flying stuff, we have that. If you like pure wrestling, we have that. If you’re a fan of pro wrestling, tune in to Slammiversary and give us a chance.

Robert: Last question, where do you see Eddie Edwards in five years?

Eddie: That’s a great question, but hard question because in pro wrestling you never really know. Hopefully I’m on top of Impact Wrestling and helping this place grow as their World Champion and we’re on to bigger and better stages.
