Is one of his goals to face Brock Lesnar?
That is definitely something I would be interested in. Ever since I’ve started in the business everyone has compared Brock [Lesnar] and I, so I think that’s a match that just needs to happen at some point in time.
Who do you think in the WWE locker room would be a successful candidate to transition into MMA?
I think everybody has an opportunity—of course if you had a background—an athletic background or rather a combat background that would give you a better opportunity. But most of the guys currently in MMA don’t have a background in wrestling. If you’re talking about somebody that could just hop right into it, of course you’d have to bring up Chad Gable. He was an Olympian, I believe that he could go in there and he has the work ethic; he’s an animal in the ring working out. The Authors Of Pain—both of those guys—[Gzim Selmani aka ‘Rezar] is a kickboxing world champion. [Sunny Dhinsa aka Akam] is a multi-time wrestling champion. So both of those guys, and [Rezar] fought for Bellator for a while, so he could do it.
