Backstage, Renee Young asks Bobby Roode what his mindset is going into Money in the Bank. Roode says he is ecstatic. He is going to make history at MITB. Roode is going to be the next Universal champion and it’s going to be glorious! Young asks Roode about his match against Braun Strowman tonight. Roode asks why she had to ask him about that. Roode is going to use every trick he has tonight. Roode’s goal tonight is to just survive.
Braun Strowman vs Bobby Roode
Roode and Strowman lock up. Strowman throws Roode into the corner. Roode puts Strowman in a side headlock. Strowman tosses Roode into the corner. Strowman pulls Roode off the top rope Roode kicks Strowman in the knee. Roode goes for the Glorious DDT. Strowman launches Roode high in the air. Strowman butterfly suplexes Roode. Strowman yells for Roode to get up. Stowman tries a corner splash but Roode gets a boot up.
Strowman tries again but Roode moves out of the way. Strowman goes shoulder first into the ring post. Roode pulls a ladder from under the ring. Roode sets the ladder up between the ring and barricade. Roode gets Strowman to chase him. Roode ducks under the ladder. Roode taunts Strowman. Strowman smashes the ladder in half with his bare hands! Roode starts to run again. Strowman catches Roode and throws him into the barricade. Strowman tosses Roode into the ring and hits the Running Power Slam for the win.
