Impact Championship Match: Pentagon Jr. (c) vs Impact Grand Champion Austin Aries
Before the match starts Aries attacks Pentagon Jr. Pentagon Jr. blast Aries in the head, then lands a huge chop on the ring post. Pentagon Jr. goes for another but Aries moves out of the way. Pentagon Jr. hand makes a sickening thud as it slams against the ring post. Aries sends Pentagon Jr. back into the ring. Aries hits a topé for a near fall. Aries puts Pentagon Jr. in the Last Chancery. Pentagon Jr. gets to the ropes. Aries ties Pentagon Jr.’s mask to the top rope. Aries lands a bunch of strikes. The referee unties Pentagon Jr. Pentagon Jr. superkicks Aries for a near fall. Pentagon Jr. tries to snap Aries’ arm but Aries quickly escapes while screaming “no, no, no”. Aries lands a dropkick. Aries and Pentagon Jr. trade strikes in the corner. Aries stomps on Pentagon Jr.’s face. Diving elbow to the back by Aries. Pentagon Jr. kicks out at one. Pentagon Jr. destroys Aries with a stiff kick to the head. Aries tumbles out of the ring. After the break, Aries slams Pentagon Jr. head first into the turnbuckle. Pentagon Jr. reverses it and lights Aries up with chop after chop. Aries falls to the outside. Pentagon Jr. suplexes Aries back into the ring. Pentagon Jr. sets up his finisher but Aries drives him into the corner. Pentagon Jr. hits two sling blades. Aries kicks out.
Pentagon Jr. almost hits the Package Piledriver but Aries reverses it into the knee breaker/back suplex combo. Corner dropkick by Aries. Aries goes up top. Pentagon Jr. cuts him off. Pentagon Jr. tries to Package Piledriver Aries off the second rope. Aries blocks it. Aries boxes Pentagon Jr.’s ears, then hit a sunset flip bomb off the top. Aries rolls into the Last Chancery. Pentagon Jr. drags himself to the bottom rope to break the hold. Aries runs right into a lung blower by Pentagon Jr. Aries kicks out. Pentagon Jr. hits the Pentagon Driver! Aries’ foot lands on the bottom rope before the three count! Pentagon Jr. brings Aries to the apron. Pentagon Jr. tries a piledriver. Aries breaks it up and almost hits a DVD on the apron. Pentagon Jr. tries one of his own. Aries knocks Pentagon Jr. off the apron. Aries tries a diving hurricanrana. Pentagon Jr. catches Aries in midair. Aries rolls through and locks in the Last Chancery. Aries holds the submission too long and he and Pentagon Jr. are both counted out.
Winner- No contest
After the match, Aries demands the match be restarted. Pentagon Jr. agrees. as soon as the bell ring Pentagon Jr. almost gets a three count on Aries via a small package. Aries hits a DVD on the apron. Aries tries it again. Pentagon Jr. reverses it into the Package Piledriver on the apron! Aries and Pentagon Jr. are both counted out again!
Winner- No contest
After the match, Pentagon Jr. grabs the mic and demands the match be restarted… in Spanish. Aries agrees. As soon as the referee turns around to ring the bell Aries punts Pentagon Jr. in the nuts, and then hits a brainbuster for the win!
Winner and NEW Impact World Champion, Austin Aries!
