Shinsuke Nakamura informed AJ Styles that they will be having a Last Man Standing match at next month’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
Nakamura announced the match stipulation after the two ended up getting into a fight on tonight’s episode of Smackdown. Both men were in the ring for the announcement, but Nakamura kept joking and said he wanted to have a pillow fight. Nakamura said he joked because he had the upper hand, but Styles joked because he was scared. Nakamura continued to taunt Styles, who grew tired and said Nakamura can’t beat him when it really matters. Styles said it doesn’t matter what match they have because it won’t put them on an even playing field.
Nakamura took a cheap shot at Styles, then they fought at ringside before Nakamura hit Styles with a chair. He kneed Styles in the groin and started counting, then hit a Kinshasa before making the announcement.
