As reported by Wrestling Inc, WWE has released a statement regarding the absence of Sami Zayn from last night’s Greatest Royal Rumble event. Zayn had initially commented on entering the 50-man Rumble on Monday Night Raw, but due to him being of Syrian descent, it was said that Zayn had not been allowed to compete on the card. The following statement was sent out by WWE regarding the matter.
“WWE is committed to embracing individuals from all backgrounds while respecting local customs and cultural differences around the world.”
