Baron Corbin spoke with IGN.com ahead of Wrestlemania 34; you can read a few highlights below:
Corbin comments on finishing the year strong:
“Everybody’s a target in a sense and if you turn your back for a second, it’s over. That’s what happened to me in the Royal Rumble. I was busy destroying everybody and Finn Balor snuck up behind me. You have to keep your head on a swivel and remain focused on everyone. Mojo’s got a good chance, he’s a hell of an athlete. This one’s mine though.”
“WrestleMania’s sort of the end off the year for us, but it’s also a beginning because we don’t take any time off. So how do I want Day One after WrestleMania to be? Do I want to be just a guy in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal or do I want people to say “Hey, this guy closed out his year strong. What he going to do this year?” So I want that type of conversation to happen and I want to see my name on two trophies. When I won it the first time, I was the first NXT Superstar to win at ‘Mania and now I want to be the first two-time winner.”
Corbin is asked if he’d carry two Andre Battle Royal trophies around like Owen Hart did as a two-time Slammy winner:
“Yeah, I should just carry them everywhere. [laughs] Those things are like 250 pounds so I’d just put them both up on my shoulders. People will ask ‘Why is he sweating already?’ and I’d be like “These things are so heavy but they’re awesome!'”
