Jeff Jarrett
WWE posted a new ‘Wrestlemania Diary’ video featuring Jeff Jarrett talking about his history in Nashville. Jarrett talks about growing up and working at the Nashville Fairgrounds Arena, including working with Bobby Roode and AJ Styles later in his career (in TNA). You can read a few transcribed highlights (credit to Bill Pritchard for Wrestlezone.com) and check out the full video below:
Bobby Roode, I can remember back there in the portal, I looked over at Bobby and said, “Let me get this straight—you’re not under contract with anybody?” This was when he was first starting out, he had a couple years under his belt. And I remember walking away and came back and I asked somebody ‘is this guy telling me the truth? He’s not under contract?’ Bobby had a ton of talent from the day I met him.
The Phenomenal One AJ Styles; me and AJ’s—I guess you can call it rivalry—started it this building, so it is cool to be taking a walk down memory lane, and to know 32 years ago this was my weekly stop right here in my home town. This Friday, I get to step onto the stage at the Smoothie King Center and get to reflect.
