The New Japan Cup is set to kick off on 3/9. The 16-man single elimination tournament runs from 3/9 until 3/21. The winner will receive a title match against the NJPW Heavyweight champion of their choosing.
This year’s NJ Cup tour marks the return of Hiroshi Tanahashi. Tanahashi was injured at the hands of Minoru Suzuki at January’s New Beginning In Sapporo.
The show is set to begin at 4:30am EST and will be broadcast LIVE on NJPWWorld.com. English commentary will be available.
