Tommaso Ciampa returned to WWE TV tonight as he attacked former partner Johnny Gargano at the conclusion of tonight’s NXT Takeover Philadelphia main event.
Following Gargano’s loss to Andrade Cien Almas, he was walking up the ramp with wife Candice LeRae and looking back at the crowd. Ciampa appeared at the top of the stage and whacked Gargano right in the back with a crutch and stared blankly at him as the show went of the air.
Ciampa then walked to the right side of the stage and left, and Gargano was helped to his feet and went backstage with some referees and trainers. Ciampa has been absent from NXT since injuring his knee last spring.
