Backstage, Angle finds Rhyno and Slater. Angle tells them that was a great effort but with the new yeat coming they need to step it up. Angle leaves. Slater thinks Angle is going to fire them. Rhyno says that’s not what Angle meant. They need to change. Slater needs to toughen up. Rhyno knows how to toughen Slater up. Slater asks if this is going to hurt. Rhyno walks away.
In Ring Segment: Elias
Elias makes fun of New England and the Patriots. Elias says he is going to enter and win the Royal Rumble match. Elias dedicates his next song to Roger Goodell. Sasha Banks interrupts Elias. Elias welcomes Banks to the ring. She can watch him do his thing. Elias tries to sing but Mickie James comes out. Elias says all the women want to walk with Elias. Elias starts to sing and Bayley comes out. Elias tries to leave. Bayley tries to hug Elias. Elias sidesteps her and walks up the ramp.
Sasha Banks, Mickie James, and Bayley vs Absolution
James kicks Paige in the face, then hits a running elbow. Banks and James double suplex Paige. After a distraction by Rose, Paige catches Banks with a knee. Rose, Deville, and Paige take turns stomping Banks. Banks tries to fire up but Paige floors her with a clothesline. Paige stomps Banks in the corner yet again. Rose and Deville pulls Banks out of the ring. Paige yells at Deville and Rose to attack James and Bayley on the outside. Banks dives off the top onto Paige. Rose breaks up the pin. Deville and Rose beat down Banks. The referee tries to get them to leave the ring but they won’t let up. The referee calls for the bell. Absolution has been Disqualified.
Winners- Sasha Banks, Mickie James, and Bayley
After the match, Absolution continues the beatdown. Nia Jax hits the ring and makes the save. Jax lifts Rose and Deville up at the same time. Jax drops them with a Samoan drop. Paige chop blocks Jax. The rest of the women’s locker room hits the ring to save Jax. Stephanie McMahon’s music hits and she power walks to the ring. For some reason, the women all stop fighting. Stephanie gets in the ring and says three years ago a revolution started. Because of their hard work, the Divas Division become the Women’s division. The women have had a lot of first over the past few years. Stephanie announces for the first time ever there is going to be a women’s Royal Rumble match.
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
