AJ Styles comes to the ring and says he wishes he could come out and celebrate slaying the beast, but he came up just a bit short at Survivor Series. AJ says he got a lot of praise from people including Paul Heyman, and he will point out that Brock Lesnar was the one limping to the back at the end of the match. He says anytime Brock wants to go again he’s game, and notes Rocky won the second fight against Apollo Creed.
AJ brings up Jinder Mahal and says if Jinder wants to take his title he came come try, and dares him to fight on the spot. Jinder appears on the Titantron and says he’s too busy and he comes to the ring when he wants, and says he would have beaten Brock, and AJ took advantage of him when they fought. Jinder says they will fight when he sees fit, and he’s officially invoking his rematch clause at WWE Clash of Champions. Jinder laughs maniacally as the Singh brothers attack him from behind, but AJ gains the upper hand and takes them both out, hitting one with a Styles Clash as Jinder watches from the screen.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are shown backstage on their ongoing quest to recruit some of the Smackdown roster to their side. They approach Rusev and Aiden English and try to sway them.
Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair (c) vs Natalya
Nattie goes right after Charlotte with some forearm strikes and a discus clothesline, then goes for a Sharpshooter but Charlotte gets to the ropes. Nattie continues to work the legs and successfully applies a Sharpshooter, but Charlotte inches her way to the ropes to break the hold. Charlotte sends Nattie into the turnbuckles and goes for a moonsault, but Nattie gets her knees up to block the move. Charlotte rebounds with a quick tackle, and Nattie rolls outside but she is attacked by Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, who run in through the crowd.
Result – No Contest
Nattie gets beat down on the floor, then the trio surrounds the ring and Charlotte tries to defend herself, but is overwhelmed by the numbers and takes finishers from each woman.
