Mr. McMahon’s music hits and the boss makes his way to the ring to an incredible reaction, followed immediately by Kevin Owens. KO calls him “Vince” and asks him what it feels like to be intimidated. McMahon says he’s just nauseated, and asks Owens how he gets out of bed and looks in the mirror every morning. He mocks him for being a coward, threatening to sue the company instead of handling his business like a man. Vince tells him if he does file that lawsuit, the last words he will ever hear are “You’re Fired!” He taunts Owens and says that he’s been in numerous court cases over decades and he’s never lost a single one, because he’s a billionaire and the system is made for people like him.
KO has heard enough and screams about Shane putting his hands on him. Vince said that he took care of that by suspending his son, but didn’t suspend him for putting his hands on an employee… Shane got suspended because he didn’t finish the job and kick Owens’ ass so hard his bowels spilled out onto the floor. That being said, effective immediately, Vince is reinstating Shane McMahon as Commissioner of Smackdown. And there won’t be a lawsuit, because in just a few weeks it’ll be Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon…. HELL IN A CELL!
KO agrees to the match, but wants a guarantee that he won’t get fired for beating Shane senseless at the pay-per-view. He wants his word that if provoked, he can beat a McMahon senseless. Vince agrees and shakes Owens’ hand, but Owens had a master plan and headbutted the Chairman in the face, immediately cracking his head open and drawing blood. KO said he got a guarantee that he could beat a McMahon senseless, and that’s exactly what he’s going to do. Vince got to his feet and tried to take a shot, but Owens punched him in the face and continued stomping down on him as officials rushed the ring to check on their boss.
He turned to leave, but instead planted Mr. McMahon with a superkick and began attacking the referees. Backstage agent Adam Pearce rushed the ring and started screaming and swearing at Owens trying to help his boss, but KO came off the top rope with a giant Frog Splash crushing the Chairman. The crowd booed and a swarm of officials and agents hit the ring, as Owens walked up the ramp. Stephanie McMahon came out and got in Kevin’s face, looking like she was going to snap, before checking on her father. Mr. McMahon was yelling about his ribs being broken, as medics helped him walk to the back.
