WWE Smackdown Results (9/12): Mr. McMahon Returns, 3 Big Championship Matches, Sin City Street Fight & More

Backstage Segment

Kevin Owens is in the back talking to some dude with a clipboard, telling him all the changes he wants to make once he’s taken over Smackdown. It’s basically the same list CM Punk made. He stopped ranting to catch up with Sami Zayn, reminiscing about traveling the world, sleeping in cars, and being caught in snow storms to wrestle in front of 30 people. Owens said that if Sami comes to work for him, he’d never have to go back to that life. Zayn got in his face and said that he’d rather go back to wrestling in Bingo halls than ever work for Kevin Owens.

Sin City Street Fight
Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs. The New Day

The first half of the match was all Uso after Big E got thrown hard into the ring steps, and Kofi Kingston was taken out after numerous attacks into the barricade. The champions picked apart E for several minutes, blasting him with a chair several times and firing away on him with a kendo stick. At one point they event took turns superkicking a chair into his face. Finally after what felt like an eternity, Kingston made his comeback with a sick DDT for Jimmy and a perfect standing dropkick for Jey. He got ahold of the kendo stick and literally exploded it against one of their backs. Kofi dove to the floor but both the Usos caught him and threw him really badly into the barricade – this was a really ugly botch that could have ended much worse. Big E sent Jimmy flying with a belly-to-belly on the floor and tried to rally, taking on both brothers at the same time. He managed to hit the Big Ending on one, but the other saved the match at the last second. The Usos planted him with individual superkicks, then a double superkick, before climbing the ropes. Jey looked to fly but Kingston threw him to the floor, crashing through a table. Jimmy tried to get revenge but ran into an enzugiri, followed by the Midnight Hour! 1…2…3!
