Intercontinental Championship
Today the Intercontinental Championship is celebrating 38 years since being introduced as a title in WWE; the IC title was won by Pat Patterson in “a tournament in Rio De Janiero, Brazil” back on September 1st, 1979.
As noted this week, WWE Network is marking the occasion with “38 Years Of Intercontinental Glory” on today’s WWE Network Flashback.
