WWE RAW Results (8/14): Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar Face to Face w/ SummerSlam Opponents, Neville Defends & More

Closing Segment

Kurt Angle made his way to the ring, which was surrounded by security guards. He introduced all four of the competitors in the SummerSlam main event, starting with the WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman grabbed a mic and introduced his client, before saying that Kurt Angle had conspired against Lesnar to form this four-way match. He said the match is nothing more than a prison fight, and they can bring out as much security as they want because it won’t matter. Heyman complains that the rules in a four-way match mean that somebody can win the title without Lesnar being involved in any way, and told Angle as a fan that concept sucks. He said that when somebody finally beats Brock for the title, he should do so by pinning him or submitting him, so that they’re victory is considered legitimate. Heyman trashes all three of their opponents at SummerSlam individually. When he gets to Roman Reigns the crowd rains down boos, and Heyman declaims that the ring may be Roman’s yard, but it’s attached to Brock’s house and rent comes due this Sunday.

Samoa Joe finally made his way out and told Brock Lesnar that he had no fear, and would put him to sleep in the middle of the ring at SummerSlam. Next up is Braun Strowman, who called himself the Last Man Standing. If anybody has any questions, they can go ask Roman Reigns. Samoa Joe takes offense to that and says Braun is merely the man that barely got back up, and he’s the man that actually put Reigns down for the count. The Roman Empire made his way out and said nothing, instead just spearing Joe out of his boots. Reigns turned around into a huge powerslam from Braun Strowman, who came face to face with the Beast Incarnate.

The security guards swarmed the ring separating the two, and the two mountains broke through to fire off with rights and lefts. Security once again pulled them apart, so the too just took turns destroying all the guards. Almost the entire Raw locker room hit the ring to break them up. The crowd chanted “let them fight” as Brock broke through the group and jumped onto Strowman, pummeling him with right hands. The locker room again separated them as the show fades to black.
