WWE RAW Results (8/14): Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar Face to Face w/ SummerSlam Opponents, Neville Defends & More

WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match
Neville (c) vs. Akira Tozawa (w/ Titus O’Neil)

The challenger started out with a full head of steam, taking it to Neville with a flurry of offense. During the commercial break the champion hit an inverted suplex on the floor followed by a huge shotgun missile dropkick to take control of the match. He slowed things down for several minutes working the previously injured shoulder and arm. Tozawa came out of nowhere with a dropkick and big move off the top, and Titus O’Neil is fired up at ringside. The fought back and forth up to the top rope and the challenger looked to put things away, but Neville destroyed them both with a picture-perfect delayed superplex. Tozawa again tried to fight back, heading up for the double foot stomp, but the champion knocked him to the mat and locked in the Rings of Saturn! Tozawa rolled through it into a schoolboy pin for a close nearfall, but Neville got his shoulder up and hit a big kick to the side of the head. He went high risk looking for the Red Arrow, but Tozawa rolled out of the way just in time. For the third time in the match he climbed the ropes trying for that high elevation senton bomb, and this time it connected. 1…2…3.

Winner and New Champion: Akira Tozawa

Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews hit the ring and went crazy for their associate, who held up the Cruiserweight Championship. Neville rolled to the floor and looked on, unable to believe he finally lost his title.

Backstage Segment

A doctor was in the locker room evaluating the damage done to Big Show’s hand. He said that as far as he can tell the hand is broken, but he won’t know for sure until they can get a closer look at it. Show seethed at him to leave. Enzo asked if SummerSlam was in question and Big Show said he’s been hurt worse, and fought bigger. Enzo told him to look at the “big picture” but Show yelled at him that he is the picture picture, and to never forget who he is.
