The following press release has been issued:
In professional wrestling, opportunities don’t come very often. When it does, people take them and make the most of them. Harley Race and his staff are pleased to announce THE opportunity for the young up and comers in this industry in 2017. The week-long Harley Race Wrestling Camp is official, and will be hosting opportunities that you won’t be able to get anywhere else. Companies including Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and the largest company in this business – WWE – will all be attending this year’s training camp.
For the first time in the history of this camp, Ring of Honor will be attending the 2017 Harley Race Camp. R.O.H., one of the fastest rising and highly respected companies today, has agreed to come to this year’s training camp to scout and evaluate talent. Coming on behalf of the company will be ROH long-time superstar Delirious. With the history of Delirious within the company of Ring of Honor, he will be giving camp participants information and advice on what the company is looking for, as well as how to better themselves in the long-run.
A company that will be returning to the week-long training camp will be New Japan Pro-Wrestling. NJPW is one of the largest companies in the world, and they bring quality to the tables of all professional wrestling fans. If you have the aspirations to “make it” in the world of professional wrestling, then New Japan should be on your checklist. Gedo, manager of current IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada and still currently active in this industry, will be attending this year’s camp on behalf of NJPW. Gedo has attended before and has a very keen eye on talent. He will be attending the 2017 Harley Race Wrestling Camp to scout talent on behalf of New Japan Pro-Wrestling as well as to introduce training techniques that are used in the New Japan training system.
In addition to New Japan Pro-Wrestling being represented by Gedo, the company will also have current superstar and member of Roppongi Vice member Rocky Romero attending the week-long training camp. Romero debuted in professional wrestling in 1997 after training at the NJPW Dojo in Los Angeles. His abilities in the ring has allowed him to wrestle all over the globe. Currently wrestling for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, he has wrestled on top cards such as Wrestle Kingdom against superstars such as The Young Bucks, ReDragon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly), Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, and more. His championship record include Ring Of Honor Tag-Team Championship, CMLL World Super Lightweight Championship, IWGP Jr Heavyweight Championship, IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag-Team Championship, NWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship, and more!
Finally, the largest company in sports-entertainment will be attending the 2017 week-long training camp as WWE will be represented by ring veteran and multi-time champion – and currently WWE/NXT Coach – Steve Corino. “The King of Old School” has been involved in professional wrestling for over 20 years and has travelled the globe competing for companies such as ECW, TNA (IMPACT Wrestling), Ring of Honor, Pro-Wrestling Zero 1 in Japan amongst many others holding championships in several companies during his tenure as an active professional wrestler. Currently, he is a trainer in the NXT training system for WWE. Sharing his knowledge that he has garnered over the past 2 decades with the current roster of NXT, he will be sharing that same knowledge as well as evaluating talent at the 2017 Harley Race Wrestling Camp.
This year’s training camp is scheduled for August 28th through September 1st, 2017. Costs for the camp are $500.00 and group rates can be given. Spots are limited for this year’s training camp so make sure to sign up and secure your spot now! Sign-ups, information and more can be found at www.harleyrace.com/
