Figure Friday: Target Exclusive WWE NXT Elite Seth Rollins (Photos)

Welcome to Figure Friday! Today we take a look at the Target Exclusive WWE NXT Elite Seth Rollins figure!

Looking at Seth in the packaging you can see the awesome packaging design, probably my favorite Mattel has ever done. It’s just so eye catching and clean looking that it pops when on the shelves when at the store or if you display them mint in the box. Just a really cool, eye catching design. Inside you can see a flashback Seth to his early NXT days with the NXT title beside him. Not to mention a cool graphic behind him, if you can see it. On the sides it has photos of him and his name then on the backside a large image of him, stats and the others in the set listed, including: No Way Jose, Bayley and Austin Aries.

When you remove him from the packaging just be careful as it’s a bit tough to pull the plastic bubble out due to the plastic being “pinched” in the middle of the X design. Once Seth is out of the packaging you can see how awesome this figure is. It’s easily my favorite figure of the set and probably one of the most sought after in the set besides the fact he has the NXT title if you ever missed out on it. A flashback Seth Rollins has been desired by collectors for a long while as people really loved him in NXT and his look then compared to now, not that there’s anything wrong with his current look, but his trunks back then were pretty cool.

Looking at Seth up close you can see he has a brand new head scan, probably one of my favorites of his. It’s much better than his older ones with the blonde hair dye. He has that evil grin on his face with his hair greased over his face, which gives off that badass attitude of his. He has the typical Elite articulation. My only complaint really are his knee pads as they restrict his knee movement a bit, so just be patient posing his legs. Other than that the designs on his trunks and boots are really nice. He even has circle designs on his wristbands, giving him that extra detail to make him that much more accurate to this attire.

Lastly, looking at the NXT title, this belt is awesome. Mattel did a really nice job on this. The side plates with the small WWE logos are great. The only issue with these newer belts lately are the rubber straps. The pegs you use to fasten the belt around the figure don’t latch on well so be patient when sizing it to your figure. It can be quite aggravating but once it fits it looks really great on the figure it’s displayed with.

Personally I feel Mattel captured a younger Rollins very well here. As said before I really like this head scan a lot, it really makes the figure that much better. The attire choice is nice and I hope they’d make his green/white one sometime as that one would make a pretty stellar figure in my opinion. Overall, I’d say I recommend this figure as it’s probably my favorite Seth Rollins figure to date. Some of his new ones shown at SDCC look nice but this one is still pretty awesome. I honestly miss him like this, too, which is probably why I’m drawn to this figure. I suggest picking him up at Target ASAP as he will most likely be the first off the pegs and I don’t see us getting him like this again anytime soon.
