As noted, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor embarked on a “world tour” this week to hype their August 26th fight in Las Vegas, and the final stop on the media tour was today at the SSE Arena at Wembley Stadium in London.
Both men hurled insults at each other all week, with McGregor being accused of racism when he told Mayweather to “dance for me, boy” during the media tour stop in Toronto. Mayweather reacted to McGregor’s comment with the following:
“Disrespecting my daughter, disrespecting the mother of my daughter, disrespecting black woman, calling black people monkeys — it’s totally disrespectful,” Mayweather said. “I have a diverse team, a diverse staff. When I was young, I may have said some things that I shouldn’t have said when I was young. But we live, we learn and you don’t say those things when you get to a certain age. It’s all about growth and maturity.”
The tour ended today with more insults being hurled, and some being recycled, as Mayweather once again brought out his backpack to remind McGregor how much money he has earned in his career. The final blow came in London, however, when Mayweather used an anti-gay slur against McGregor.
“You’re a punk, fa**ot, ho!” Mayweather barked, h/t Yahoo Sports.
The world tour to promote the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor August bout began in Los Angeles on Tuesday and included stops in Toronto (Wednesday) and New York (Thursday).
