WWE Smackdown Live
AJ Styles will challenge Kevin Owens for the United States Championship after winning the Independence Day Battle Royal – and a match to get into the battle royal in the first place.
Styles beat Chad Gable earlier tonight, then won the battle royal, last eliminating Sami Zayn in the main event of tonight’s WWE Smackdown Live. Kevin Owens ran in and attacked Styles but it was shortlived however as Styles made a comeback and connected with a roundhouse kick before chasing Owens off. Styles will now challenge Owens at the WWE Battleground pay-per-view in Philadelphia on July 23rd.
