Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan is back on WWE Talking Smack with Renee Young. The general manager thought he would ease back into his general manager role but that is not what happened. He knew he had to make some moves.
First Guest: Carmella
Carmella feels like everything that is going on is nonsense. She believes Bryan is making up rules. He embarrassed her in front of her family and she hopes he is proud. While telling him this, she begins to cry.
James Ellsworth tells Carmella not to worry because he has a plan. Bryan interrupts him and tells him he will be banned from ringside. Carmella is not bothered by that because she still believes she will be the undisputed winner of the Money in the Bank match next week.
After Carmella leaves, the hosts talk about the rematch Women’s Championship match on next week’s show. Bryan thought Lana looked good Sunday for someone who does not have a lot of experience. However, the champion is training super hard to be as good as she can be.
Second Guest: The New Day
Xavier Woods says he heard them talking about rules with Carmella. He asks the general manager if he knows that in the tag team division a team is only allowed one save. If the team tries to save the match again, then the team is disqualified. Bryan did not know that and adds that in the match Sunday there was more than one save. Woods wants him to crack down on that rule.
Young asks the team how they feel about the Hype Bros getting a chance to become number one contenders. Big E jokingly tells her that in WWE contracts there is a clause that a superstar returning from injury automatically gets a shot at a title. So obviously Zack Ryder deserves it.
Woods says there are a lot of good tag teams on Smackdown. That is why they wanted to come on the show. Young tries to get the New Day to give her their game plan for getting the tag team title. They all tell her they will never tell her their game plan.
Third Guest: AJ Styles
AJ Styles says his goal is to get the United States Championship. He feels Kevin Owens makes a mockery of the title. If he gains the title, he will have a real open challenge.
Styles believes it is a possibility that he will have a match against Shinsuke Nakamura if either one of them wins the United States Championship. Styles wants a rematch with Owens. He believes he can beat Owens because winners find a way to win. He also thinks he will make a better United States Champion simply because he is actually from America.
Young ends the show by reminding the audience of the matches that will be on next week’s WWE Smackdown Live.
