In-Ring Segment: Jinder Mahal
The WWE Champion made his way out, introduced by the Singh brothers. Eventually he got to the ring, where there was a very elaborate carpet set up. He talked about Randy Orton being scared of losing to him in his home town of St. Louis this Sunday at Money in the Bank. He said Orton was scared to upset his friends and family, and noted that his father Cowboy Bob Orton would be sitting ringside during the match, and that he was especially excited to embarrass him in front of his Hall of Fame father. Jinder claimed Orton still couldn’t come out and face him like a man, even after disrespecting his father, and said he would de-fang the Viper this Sunday night. Orton’s theme song blasted over the arena and the champion sent the Singh brothers to the ramp to await the challenger. Randy snuck into the ring from behind and dropped Mahal with the RKO, fleeing through the crowd.
Backstage Segment: The New Face of America
United States Champion Kevin Owens was backstage with his partners for tonight, Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin. He doesn’t bother rallying the troops because he knows they all hate each other, but wonders if they can’t work together just this once. He tells Corbin he doesn’t like him, and tells Ziggler he likes him more than Corbin, but that really isn’t saying much. That being said, they could go out there and argue and not be on the same page, and probably get kicked in the face by Shinsuke Nakamura – and if that happens Owens would have no choice but to hit them all with powerbombs, just for good measure. OR….they can work together, and have a chance of going into Money in the Bank at 100% this Sunday.
