THE NEW DAY & FASHION POLICE vs. THE USOS & THE COLONS
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston were the competing members of The New Day. The champions wanted nothing to do with Sunday’s challengers so it was Epico who started things off against Kofi. The babyfaces started out in control, working over Epico with quick tags and getting all four members involved. Fandango took a few chops in the corner but fired back with a headscissors takedown. It was Tyler Breeze who first got caught out as The Usos hit him with cheap shots from behind, as Primo continued to work him over in their corner. Woods made the tag and connected with a running dropkick into the ropes, lighting up Primo with knife-edge chops and kicks. Eventually communication broke down and all eight guys hit the ring, as a giant brawl erupted. The babyfaces cleared the ring with a series of dropkicks, sending the heels to the floor as Woods celebrated with his trombone to take us to commercial.
The Usos managed to take control during the break, and had been working over Breeze once again for several minutes. He fought back multiple times, throwing elbows and struggling out of holds, but The Colons kept him isolated as the heels made sure his apron kept getting cleared. Finally Tyler made the hot tag to Kofi, who took out the heels and nailed Jimmy with the Boom Drop. He lined up for Trouble in Paradise, but all hell broke out yet again. The New Day pinned one of the Colons with the UpUpDownDown in a fun opening match.
