Backstage, Miz interrupts Curtis Axel and Heath Slater are being interviewed about the Marine 5. Miz asks one of them to be his partner. They both decline. Slater says he has a partner. Rhyno walks in eating crackers and spray cheese. Maryse goes on a rant about how Slater and Axel will never work in this town again. Axel asks if she means Kansas City. Maryse yells that she meant Hollywood. Rhyno says Maryse needs a cracker. Maryse slaps the plate out of Rhyno’s hand. Rhyno walks ways sad and says she doesn’t get a cracker now. Miz is handed a note that tells him who his partner is going to be. Miz is pleased.
Curt Hawkins is in the ring. He issues an open challenge to anyone in the back who wants to join the Curt Hawkins Star factory. Apollo Crews accepts.

Crews almost decapitates Hawkins with a dropkick. Hawkins catches Crews with a backdrop for a two count. Hawkins locks in a side headlock. Hawkins whips Crews into the ropes but Crews explodes off the ropes with a sick kick. Crews levels Hawkins with a leaping enziguri. Crews hits the spin out powerbomb for the win.

After the match, Titus O’Neal comes to the ring and celebrates with Crews. Crews is confused. O’Neal tells Crews he is on his way.
