WWE Smackdown Results (4/18): Six-Pack Challenge, Styles vs Corbin, Charlotte Flair Faces the Champion

AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin

Corbin goes after him and the two brawl to the floor. Styles dodged a throw into the steps, but was caught coming off the apron and slammed down hard on the edge of the ring. After a commercial break Corbin is still in control, throwing rights and lefts in the corner. Admittedly, Owens on commentary is a bit distracting as he’s making hilarious comments about Byron Saxton. Styles comes out of nowhere with a Pele Kick for two, followed up by a running forearm spash for a nearfall. AJ sets up for the Styles Clash, but Corbin broke it up and hit a huge backbreaker with a ton of hangtime. Styles dodges a splash in the corner and rolls through into the Calf Killer, almost getting the submission, but Corbin barely pulls himself to the bottom rope. Corbin hits an impressive Deep Six out of nowhere for two-and-a-half, and the Lone Wolf starts freaking out that he didn’t get the win. They brawl to the outside and Styles hits a running knee strike, as Owens starts yelling at them not to get close to him. Corbin of course hits a big back body drop and sends Styles crashing into the champion. The referee gets to a count of six – Styles hits the Pele Kick on the floor. The referee is at eight, and Styles hits a running Phenomenal Forearm off the apron to send Corbin over the barricade, then slides back into the ring just before the count of ten.

Winner: AJ Styles

Smackdown goes off the air with Styles and Owens staring each other down.
