– THE NEW DAY is coming to Smackdown Live!

United States Championship #1 Contender’s Match

Sami Zayn vs. AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin

Styles and Zayn go right after Corbin as the match begins, but he suplexes them both with ease. He hits Styles with a clothesline to send him out of the ring, and goes to work on Sami Zayn, who he also tosses to the floor. The two recover and team up once again, this time working together to clothesline Corbin out of the ring. They go after each other with wild lefts and rights, and Zayn gets the upper hand, dumping Styles to the floor. He follows up with a huge tope con hilo to take both opponents out, celebrating as we go to a commercial break.

After the break Corbin is in control, trading shots with Sami Zayn. They show a clip from the break where Corbin hit Styles with a huge back body drop. Zayn gets thrown hard into the corner and Styles tries to throw some right hands at the big man, but gets a mudhole stomped in him in the corner for his trouble. The referee tries to get him out of the ropes and Corbin yells “SHUT UP!” at him, which gets some laughs. Zayn fires up out of nowhere and takes both men down. He dumps AJ to the floor and tosses Corbin into the bottom turnbuckle with an exploder suplex. Sami sets up for the Helluva Kick, but runs into the Ushigoroshi from AJ Styles, who then turns around into stiff lariat from Corbin.

Baron Corbin rolls to the floor for a breather, but is caught with a hard knee strike from Styles. The “Phenomenal One” springboards back into the ring but is caught with the Blue Thunder Bomb for a close nearfall. The two fight up to the top rope, but Corbin recovers and lifts Sami up onto his shoulders; Styles tries to hit a Doomsday Phenomenal Forearm, but Sami rolls up Corbin at the last minute for another very close nearfall! Corbin hits the Deep Six on Sami, but Styles breaks it up at the last minute. All three men are down. Styles is the first man to his feet, and he rolls to the apron and connects with a springboard 450 splash, but Zayn sprints back into the ring to break up the pin yet again. All hell breaks lose as three guys just start throwing rights and lefts. Sami hits the Helluva Kick on Corbin to knock him to the outside, and he turns around into the Phenomenal Forearm from Styles! 1…2…3!

Winner: AJ Styles
