Backstages, Sheamus is yelling at Cesaro for being so calm about losing their opportunity at the tag titles. Cesaro says something about being water or something like that (both Sheamus and I were confused… so its best to just move on). Samoa Joe interrupts. Joe looks at Cesaro and laughs. Joe says Cesaro is the same old Cesaro; trying desperately to fit in. Sheamus tells Joe to back off, but Cesaro tells Sheamus he can handle Samoa Joe. Joe says Cesaro is mad that he is still searching for the brass ring but Joe debut with it around his neck. Cesaro says all Joe does is carry Triple H’s jock strap. Joe says that was clever, and we see how far being clever has gotten Cesaro so far. Joe laughs and walks way. Sheamus says he wants to kick Joe’s head off. Cesaro tells Sheamus that he will take care of it.
Backstage (tons of backstage segments tonight, huh?), Stephanie McMahon tells Mick Foley she owes him an apology. Stephanie goes on to list the many accomplishments Foley has had in his career. This version of Foley is not the Foley she wanted. 17 years ago today, Triple H ended Foley’s career. Every year, Triple H gets better. Foley just gets weaker and weaker. Foley was once a man who could stand up against anyone, now he can hardly stand at all. Stephanie walks way, leaving Foley to stew.
