Steel Cage NXT Title Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs Samoa Joe
As the bell rings Joe and Nakamura circle each other. Joe throws a few leg kicks that are easily avoided by Nakamura. Nakamura single legs Joe, but Joe gets to his feet. Joe and Nakamura lock up. Joe pins Nakamura up against the ropes. Joe forces Nakamura into the corner. Joe lands a few knees. Nakamura reverses, but Joe tries to toss Nakamura into the cage. Nakamura dodges and struts away. Joe charges, but Nakamura sweeps him and rolls him into the corner. Good vibrations by Nakamura. Joe picks up Nakamura and slams him back first into the cage. As Nakamura is pinned against the cage Joe lands a few strikes, followed by a running elbow smash. Nakamura tumbles to the mat.
After a short break, Nakamura connects with a spinning enziguri that sends Joe down to the mat. Nakamura knees Joe in the face over and over again. Nakamura tries to set up the reverse exploder, but Joe fights out of it. Nakamura turns it into a big German suplex. Nakamura calls for the Kinshasa, but Joe reverses it into a power slam for a two count. Joe and Nakamura trade elbow strikes and open hand strikes in the middle of the ring. Nakamura misses a savate kick. Joe turns the missed kick into the Coquina Clutch. Nakamura walks up the ropes and falls backward to break the hold. Nakamura hits a standing knee strike for a two count.
