This week’s edition of WWE Talking Smack begins with Renee Young and Daniel Bryan welcoming in the audience. Renee Young tells everyone that Daniel Bryan has the flu but she was impressed because he did not let his illness stop him from fulfilling his job as general manager.
Daniel Bryan tells Renee Young that they cannot begin the show the way they usually do. He wants to know why she slapped the Miz. She lets him know that it is no secret that she and Dean Ambrose are in a relationship, but she was embarrassed by the way the Miz called her out in front of everyone at Smackdown Live. Renee Young apologies for putting her hands on a Superstar. Daniel Bryan tells her that there is no reason to apologize to him.
Before they could move on to the next topic, Santa appears. He tells him that he is there to bring gift. Talking Smack hosts get excited and begin to chant Santa. Santa pulls out a microphone and decides to stay for the rest of the show.
First Guest: Baron Corbin
Daniel Bryan asks Baron Corbin if he is excited about his title match. He says he is and it is about time that the GM makes a good decision although his choice of a sweater is questionable.
Baron Corbin says this title match is where he belongs. Daniel Bryan tells him that he deserves some credit too for making the match. Corbin laughs and tells him that he wants credit for finally doing something right. He does acknowledge that it has been a good night but it was stupid of Daniel Bryan to give people a chance at the WWE World Championship without Smackdown’s biggest star there.
Renee Young tries to keep the focus on the opportunities that he has coming up and asks him who he thinks the biggest threat is in the match. Corbin tells her that he is the biggest threat to both of them. He says that AJ Styles is coming off of an injury that will only get worse against him.
Daniel Bryan asks Corbin if he feels bad after the chair shots that he took from AJ Styles. Corbin tells him that is a stupid question because he knows that chair shots do not feel good. But he knows that next week AJ Styles is going to pay for every single shot.
Santa tells Baron Corbin that he has a few days to spread Christmas joy because he is on the naughty list. Santa thinks that Corbin has a bad attitude. Baron Corbin tells Santa that if he does not like his attitude then he can leave or he can change his mind. After his words to Santa, Renee Young thanks Baron Corbin for coming on the show.
Once Baron Corbin left, Daniel Bryan tells Santa that he does not like the way Corbin spoke to him. Santa says that he did not have his elves with him but he knew Daniel Bryan would have his back.
Next, they give a rundown of everything that will happen on final Smackdown of 2016. There will be a Triple Threat match for the WWE World Championship, Women’s Championship Match, Four Corners Elimination Tag Team Match, and the return of John Cena.
Daniel Bryan says that he is proud of everything that they have done on Smackdown Live so far He believes that everyone’s career is better now than before the draft and that is a testament to the Superstars.
Second Guest: Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch thanks Daniel Bryan for allowing her to play La Luchadora. She says that she needed to teach Alexa Bliss a lesson. She thinks that Alexa Bliss has been running from her and that disrespecting the local from last week was wrong. She was also upset about Alexa Bliss faking her injury. Daniel Bryan confirms that nothing was wrong with Alexa Bliss’s knee.
Becky Lynch feels that because Alexa Bliss is champion, it makes the women in the locker room become unmotivated. She also adds that all of the champions are underhanded and will do whatever it takes to win. She believes that sends the wrong message.
Daniel Bryan says that he believes if the rules get broken by someone else first, then you do what you need to do. He adds that it is hard for him to say not to do it because he has done it.
Santa makes things weird by rubbing a cookie on his chest. He then invites Becky Lynch back to his hotel room with him and Renee Young. This awkwardly ends Becky Lynch’s time on Talking Smack.
Next, they talk briefly about Zack Ryder. Daniel Bryan feels sorry for him. He says that Zack Ryder has had one injury after another. He wants Ryder to come back strong and better than ever.
Third Guest: Natalya
Natalya explains that tonight she put the spotlight back on her which is where she belongs. She says that her mistake was training the Bella Twins. She believes that every accomplishment that they have should be hers.
She believes that she should have been team caption from the very beginning. She says that she is tired of being put at the end of the line. She adds that she regrets helping everyone else get to the top. She believes that she is royalty and that she is the best.
Natalya says that without her there would be no Women’s Revolution because she is royalty and then walks away.
Daniel Bryan says that Natalya only got her opportunity because she is a Hart. He knows that the Bellas work hard and everyone tries to make their name off of them.
This week’s WWE Talking Smack ends with Santa giving out gifts. The gifts were in nice holiday boxes. Once they opened the boxes, they saw that the boxes were empty. Santa says that the elves made a union and would only make the boxes.
